Script similar to "scale steps" or "multiscale", but it offers up scaling and down scaling in steps (not %).

i will need something similar except that instead for saving a resized image to create from 1 layer a series of new progressively scaled layers
would be possible ?
created a script for me that does this. It resizes the image layer keeping the layers.Just ask Rob A for the download or search gimp chat for step scale.
