No, the image name is IMG_6223.JPG. Also tried it with IMG6223.JPG. I can do the settings and say OK. Then the bar "Lensfon correction..." runs at the bottom of the window up to about 90% to the right. Then the gimplensfun.exe crashes.
Could you please send me (the programmer) an example image that causes GIMP-lensfun to crash? Does it occur with every image or only from a specific camera?
The reason for the crash was that I tried to use the existing Generic lenses that came with GIMP-lensfun.
When I created my own lens it worked fine.
A questions rgd creating your own lens:
What changes if I use a different type: "rectilinear", "fisheye", "panoramic", "equirectangular", "orthographic", "stereographic", "equisolid", "fisheye_thoby"?
it should change a lot as would changing type of lens in your camera or project your image to a semisphere instead then on a plan
If you are interested to special FX may be worth try ,(instead then correct you may create or enhance distortions that may result in interesting artistic effects )
if not i will stick with the type of lens and mapping correspondent to that of your camera
As long as you use 32bit GIMP the 32bit plugin should also work on a 64bit Windows. The normal GIMP for windows is always a 32bit build. There exists a 64bit build but it is marked as experimental.
64 bit build are still experimental ? Maybe somebody is still experimenting new concepts as hot water and wheel?
The problem is not make 32 bit apps work in 64 bit computer, the problem is the limitation of 32 bit
Modern computer come with a lot of RAM, Ram that can be used only by 64bit programs, instead at 32 bit only 2 GB of Ram are supported and the rest even if installed can't be used
luckily gimp 2.7 is already available at 64 bit and should be no problems to build gimp 2.8 for 64 bit, when will be realised
Setting up a windows build of GIMP and plugin takes quite a huge amount of time and I don't want to work on this if there's even no official 64bit build of GIMP itself. However if anyone sends me a 64bit build I will package it and put it online. For now I assume >90% of all GIMP users have the 32bit version installed.
If this changes with GIMP 2.8 and there are prebuild 64bit libs I will also try to create a compatible plugin build.

Windows Version crashes
I was really happy to find this plugin to integrate lensfun in gimp. But unfortately the gimplensfun.exe just crashes.
My set up:
Windows 7 32 bit
Gimp 2.6.11
gimplensfun 0.2.1
Did someone have the same problem?
Is there a solution for it?
Stefan

Are there any special characters in the image file name? Some users reported problems with cyrillic letters...

64-bit binary
Great. Is there a 64-bit Windows binary somewhere?

Of course 64bit is not
Of course 64bit is not experimental in general but the 64bit GIMP build is not recommended and outdated.
